• January 13 - 14: Winter Longhike Ditch the tents and learn how to build a snowcave.
• January 20: Tele School Learn how to turn on telemark skis.

February

• February 3 - 4: Intro to Backcountry Skiing Another excuse for skiing.
• February 5:
  • Deadline for VOC Photography Competition All photos must be on the gallery and tagged by 4pm on Feb 5th.
  • Deadline for VOC Journal Articles All articles must be sent to the Journal Editor.
• February 14: Slideshow by Dave Quinn!!!
• February 16 - 24: 9^th edition of Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival Over a week of outdoors films with reduced tickets prices through VOC !
• February 17 - 18: Ice-Fishing Around Kamloops Why not ?
• February 17 - 25: Red Rocks Reading Week Trip Go climbing during the day and go gaming in the evening on the Strip.
• February 17 - 20: Garibaldi Neve Traverse Skis, snowshoes, and good times.
• February 17 - 18: Ski Trip to Brew Hut
• February 23 - 25: Ski Trip on the Spearhead traverse to Brian Waddington Hut. (Due to weather forecast)

March

• Mar 3-4: Ice Climbing 2007 The Rambles near Lillooet, winter camping + climbing...

• Mar 3-4: Elissa's Birthday Brew Hut Bonanza A beginner-ish friendly trip to Brew Hut.

• Mar 6: VOC Skin repairing session Night @ VOC Clubroom, 5 - 7 pm

• Mar 10-11: Line Back-Country Birthday Bash

• Mar 13: Letter Writing-in Night @ VOC Clubroom, 5:30 pm

• Mar 17-18: St. Patty's Day Ski Trip To somewhere with ski-able snow. A hunt for 4-leaf clover?

• Mar 24-25 (?): Spring Mountaineering Camp Joffre and Matier in a day. Postponed until further notice

• Mar 24-25 (?): Sphinx Overnighter Weekend trip to Sphinx hut in Garibaldi park

• Mar 30-31: Pre-exam Ski Trip To somewhere with ski-able snow. Cascades?

• Mar 31-April 1 (tentative): Son of Rock Spring rock climbing instruction to get you ready for the Levenworth trip and a fabulous summer of climbing

• April 4: VOC Banquet Remembering and celebrating the events that made the year one last time.

• April 6-8(9?): Spearhead Traverse

• April 6-9: Ashlu Elaho Ski Traverse

• April 6-9: Leavenworth and Vantage Climbing Trip Easter weekend road trip to start the climbing season off with a bang.

Fall 2007

September

• September 1^st - 3^rd: Mountaineering Camp 2007 (Labour day long weekend)

• September 4^th: Main Event Carnival

• September 5^th: September BBQ

• September 8^th - 9^th: General purpose Brew workhike A bit of trail work, painting and cutting firewood for the winter. Also lightning protection ought to be installed at some point.

• September 15^th - 16^st: Glacier School 2007 Introduction to glacier crossing and lots of Mulled wine.

• September 28^th-30^th: 48 Hour Cleaning Siege on Europa

• September 30^th: Sunday Scramble: MacDonald and Webb Peaks An easy hike/scramble of peaks in the Chilliwack Lake area.

October

• October 4^th: Clubroom Cleanup Last chance for a workhike before Longhike.

• October 6^th - 7^th: Longhike 2007 Neither long nor a hike, it's an intro rock climbing school with a big party. Great time to meet new members.

• October 13^th: Edible Wilds Hike Ever wanted to know what that plant was and whether or not it was edible? This will be a very beginner friendly hike with an educational purpose. We will also aim to get back in time to line up for the MEC gear swap.

• October 14^th: MEC's Fall Gear Swap Ever wanted to sleep on Broadway? Want really cheap gear? Come and join other VOCers in an bi-annual tradition sleepover in front of MEC Vancouver Store. Not to miss!

• October 13^th - 14^th: Skaha with Steve

• October 20^th - 21^st: Phelix Creek Trail Workhike 3 One last effort to clean the last 100 vertical meters to the Brian Waddington Hut.

• October 20^th - 21^st: Skaha 2007 Annual Halloween climbing trip to Penticton, BC.

• October 21^st: Needle Peak 2007 16th Annual Day-hike to Needle Peak, located "beyond Hope".

November

• November 3 or 4: Lynn Valley Hike

• November (throughout the month): Intro to Climbing at the Norm.

• November 9^th - 12^th : Smith Rock 2007 Annual Climbing trip to Oregon State.

• November 10^th - 12^th: Glacier School Review and Summit Can't come to Smith ? Go with Ran Z and practice your knowledge you learned from Glacier school.

• November 17^th: Ski Trip to Red Heather

• November 18^th: Easy day of skiing - Elfin

• November 17^th - 18^th: Caving Trips Two caving trips to the Island.. Cancelled due to lack of guides

• November 20^th: VOC Movie Night: King Lines @ 6 pm in clubroom.

• November 24^th - 25^th: Beginner friendly ski trip to Brew Hut (hopefully, it will better than last year's trip...)

• November 24^th: Backcountry Avalanche Worshop 2007 in Squamish.

• November 28^th: Winter Social 2007

• November 29^th: Mini Ski School Cancelled due to lack of interest and Cypress is still closed

• December 29^th(?) - January 2^nd(?): Brian Waddington Hut New Year's 2008 Come and celebrate the new year in the club's biggest hut and shred some nar too.
