Talk:Photography Competition

It would be nice to list the runners up in the various categories... at least from now on, and also include links to the actual photos on the gallery for this year and last where the competition was entirely run online. The other idea I had was a small in-article gallery of the latest year's winning photos, e.g. like this. --Matthew 14:58, 4 April 2008 (PDT)

I still think it would be nice to do this, but how do we resolve the licence conflict between the wiki (GNU FDL) and the photo gallery (no licence text, so copyright is implicit). Possibly winners of the photo competition don't want their best photos licensed this way? I guess another way would be to link to the photo on the gallery, although that's not as nice as having them showcased on the wiki. --Matthew 11:06, 6 April 2009 (PDT)

Hmm, I didn't really realize that ALL contributions were released under the GNU FDL. Seems like having photos be different wouldn't be so bad. Seems somewhat lame to have to re-upload all the pictures to the wiki though. Scott Webster 12:13, 6 April 2009 (PDT)
