I removed the "< 300$" suggestion since I thought it might be misleading. I took $600 last year and spent it all. It totally depends on what you are buying. You might want to take thousands if you are thinking of getting a kayak. Scott Webster 16:46, 6 October 2006 (MDT)

It doesn't seem really clear to me who is in this to buy gear for the club and who is buying gear for themselves?
