Zephyr Cafe

In Downtown Squamish, on the main strip.
Hours: Mon-Sun 6:30am-7pm
Kind of pricy, climbing yuppy magnet. Good coffee. Good place for spotting climbing celebrities and overhearing interesting conversations (previous sitings: Jasmin Caton, Marc-Andre Leclerc, Hevy Duty, etc.).
Bisla Sweets

In Downtown Squamish, near Climb On
Hours: 11am-9pm
Big, juicy samosas for $3 a pop, get 5 and get a chutney. They also have mean naan wraps. Cheap and good, beware of staining your clothes. The sweets are delicious as well.
Galileo Coffee Company
173 Highway 99, Britannia Beach, BC
On the east side of the highway just south of the Britannia Mining Museum
Hours: 6am-3pm Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm Sat-Sun
Popular with the Whistler crowd, this place roasts their own coffee beans and makes a mean Canadiano (that’s an Americano with maple syrup). Unfortunately not open early enough for some weekend trips.
Tim Hortons

Facing highway 99 on the west side. Coming from the south, turn left on Industrial Way, and left again on Progress Way.
Hours: 24 hours
The Canadian institution, home of terrible coffee, rolling up the rim, donuts, and greasy breakfast sandwiches.
Onatah Coffee

In the strip mall right by the Petro-Canada on the east side of the highway in Garibaldi Highlands (just north of Squamish).
Hours: 6:30am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-5pm Sat-Sun
Great organic, fair-trade coffee and muffins, and you can make a single stop for gas and caffeine.
The Shady Tree
40456 Government Rd., Garibaldi Highlands, BC.
Facing highway 99 on the west side. From the north, turn right on Garibaldi Way, and right again on Government Rd. Immediately on the right.
Standard pub fare, huge nachos, reasonably priced beer and lots of tables makes it popular for celebrating big trips.
Howe Sound Brew Pub
37801 Cleveland Avenue Squamish, BC
From the north, turn right on Cleveland Ave. Keep driving to basically the end of the road. On the right.
Crafting delicious microbrews since way before microbrews were cool, along with pretty decent food. Beer is expensive but probably worth it. Half-price pizzas on mondays.
The WaterShed Grill
41101 Government Rd, Brackendale, BC
From Garibaldi Way, turn right on Government Rd. Drive down about 1km, on the left.
A smaller place with a more varied and a little pricier menu. It’s a good place to seal the deal with that cute beginner you were spooning with the night before.
The Cafeteria at Quest University
On the way back from the Diamond Head Parking Area, in case the drive was very stressful and you need coffee now.
Starbucks
In the Home Depot shopping mall on the way back from the Diamond Head Parking Area. I wouldn't really recommend it, except Carla has shares in Starbucks so we need to drum up some customers.
Whistler
Beetroot Cafe

Go towards the village on Lorimer Road. Hopping little cafe beside the IGA with good breakfasts (including pasta breakfast for carb-loaders) and bottomless coffee. Not as overpriced as whistler normally is.
Dups Burritos

From the highway, turn on Village Gate Blvd, left on Northland Blvd, then the second right on Main St. A few stores down on the left.
All of your favourite Mexican food.
El Furniture Warehouse

From the highway, turn on Village Gate Blvd, left on Northland Blvd, then the second right on Main St. Off of Main Street on the pedestrian walkway.
Mexican food and burgers with good sized entrees priced at $5 each.
Splitz Grill

From the highway, turn on Village Gate Blvd, left on Northland Blvd, then the second right on Main St. Immediately on the right.
Easily the best burgers in Whistler, made to your exact likings.
Pemberton

Enjoy their particularly delicious muffins, and of course great coffee, while rubbing elbows with sled heads and pro riders.
Mile One Eating House

Just north of Highway 99 on Portage Rd., across from the Petro-Canada.
Amazing burgers, made with local ingredients, and really good mac ’n’ cheese. You order and pay up front, so it’s faster than a sit down place. Plan your next trip on their huge wall-map.
The Pony Espresso
1392 Portage Rd, Pemberton, BC
Turn north on Portage Rd., on the left after the road curves to the right.
Lots of menu options, including fantastic pizzas. A little pricey but very nice atmosphere. Lunch menu is cheaper than supper.
The HWY. Cafe

Tasty greasy-spoon vegan fare tucked in the Mount Currie industrial park. Burgers and such. Well worth the stop.

Mission Springs Brewing

On the western outskirts of Mission, from Lougheed Hwy turn south onto Oliver or Wren (the pub is at the west end of the Walmart parking lot).
Hours: 11 - midnight (1 am Fri/Sat)

From Highway 1/3/5, take exit 173 from the east or 170 from the west, on the north side of Old Hope Princeton Way.
Familiar comfort food at a pretty reasonable price.
Blue Moose Cafe
322 Wallace Street, Hope, BC
Take Hwy 1/Water Ave to Wallace St. Turn right on Wallace, go three blocks, on the right.
Coffee, wraps and paninis, and great chai lattes.
Rolly's

Take the main exit into hope. Go straight through two lights and head down Water St, turn right at the chevron. Behind the chevron.
Breakfast place with really good pancakes.
Mt. Baker Area

From Mt. Baker Highway, turn north on Bourne St. and drive up one block. On the left.
Hours: Unknown. Open before and after skiing.
'Get sconed' with their delicious baked goods before or after slaying the pow or conquering Baker. They take Canadian cash too.
