Timeframe

  • Departure: April 25th, if this gives Zack enough time to get his ducks in a row.
  • Return: when we feel like it (?) or when Tim/others have to go back to work
  • Possible canoe down the Stikine...tempting...

Stuff to find out

  • Who is coming?
  • can we share a food drop/plane ride with Baldwin's group that is going to the same area? - Tim has contacted John to discuss
  • what is our planned route? pick up/drop off?
  • NO SLEDS

TO DO

  • ZACK - will be getting certain (?)maps from Richmond (Tim has the others)
-will show Abigail how to use the wiki
  • TIM - still getting info from Baldwin on their plans i.e. when/how they are getting there, and if there is a cheaper food drop option.
     - Do you have the GPS maps downloaded for this area?

Gear

VEHICLES: if Abigail comes (which she should), her Subaru is the top pick, or Tim should get a rocket box.

  • ski gear - does everyone have a set-up in working order?
  • tents -who's - and how many?
  • stove + pots -""
  • glacier stuff - minimal
  • Tim's SPOT and GPS - do we want/need a sat phone or radio?
  • First Aid kit - Madeleine has the one from Whitemantle which is pretty comprehensive
  • ?!?!

Food

  • more to be added once we determine length of trip and number of people. Should we start dehydrating things now?

Emergency Contacts

  • probably the s/o of most people going
