Archive:Introduction to Climbing at the Norm
What is it?
If you are interested in learning some basics of climbing you should sign up for one of the instructional sessions at the VOC climbing wall. From Monday the 20th to Friday the 24th we will be holding instructional courses at the VOC Norm wall. You will learn basics such as how to put on a harness, how to tie in and how to belay.
Sign up for sessions (more will be added).
What to bring
Make sure you bring:
1)harness
2)personal belay device
3)climbing shoes
You can borrow the harness and shoes from the VOC during Gear rental hours. Please contact your instructor regarding the personal belay device, as this one cannot be borrowed from the club. Some instructors might provide a belay device for the session.
