Imagine Day and Clubs Days Staffing

Imagine Day is September 2 this year, and Clubs Days will take place on September 16th-18th. This is an important time for us to inform people about the club and sign up new members, so if you're interested in sharing your excitement about the VOC, come on out! Even if you can only make one shift that will help. In addition to being lots of fun, helping out during Clubs Days will count as a workhike.

When and Where (Imagine Day)

Tuesday, September 2, 1:00 pm until 5:15pm

Location: We are somewhere on Main Mall (between Agricultural Rd and Crescent Rd).

When (Clubs Days)

Tuesday, September 16th,2014
Wednesday, September 17th,2014
Thursday, September 18th, 2014
Friday, September 19th, 2014
Each day from 10:00 to 15:00.

Location: On the Main Concourse, near the Gallery entrance.

Volunteer Hours

Imagine Day

For Imagine Day, we'll have a booth outside, where we can advertise to students. We'll also need a couple people in the clubroom where we can direct new members to sign up, while also answering questions about our awesome club.

Club Days

We need volunteers to be at our booth to answer questions about the Club, give out membership forms, and sell tickets for Longhike. Preferably three members in each time slot, with at least one exec.

THE DATES FOR CLUBS DAYS HAVE CHANGED AND NOW INCLUDE TUESDAY BUT NOT FRIDAY.

Things We Need for Imagine Day

  • Handouts -- one page for the curious
  • VOC glossary and journals for the very curious
  • A sign/flag, but not too many props to clutter the booth
  • NOTE: We can't sell anything (including memberships) at the booth
  • How about a map showing the way to the clubroom?

Things We Need for Clubs Days

  • Longhike tickets, cash box for long hike (keep cash separate for longhike)
  • Membership forms: or maybe laptops, liability releases
  • Somewhere to put completed forms
  • Somewhere to keep money securely
  • Some change in case everybody pays with 2 x $20 but membership is $40 now so that's fine!
  • Brochures
  • VOC glossary and journals for the very curious
  • A sign/flag, but not too many props to clutter the booth


Bringing photos of club trips may be fun to share as well.
Just remember, please, you are representing the club while you are at the booth!
