Description:

Olympic National Park is a gem of western Washington, with stunning mountains, lush rainforests, majestic beaches, and remote hot springs. Let's use the long weekend to explore, with a focus on a short backpack to stunning Shi Shi Beach. Depending on the weather and time, we will do some other hikes/a snowshoe at Hurricane Ridge, or even try to reach Olympic Hot Springs, which requires biking up a closed road to access the trailhead.

The plan will be to leave after work on Thursday and return late on Monday (a holiday). We'll be either backcountry camping on the beach/at the hot springs, or may also find a campground. So you'll need the usual backpacking gear, as well as a bike if we end up going to the hot spring. I have a bike rack that can fit 3 bikes.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!
