Description:
I have been in Australia for the past two years, slowly cooking myself to a crisp and missing the glorious BC alpine. The last trip I did to the mountains was demolishing the shell of the old Burton hut, and I made a commitment that the first trip I did on my return would be to shred down the Guard/Deception Col to the hut I helped rebuild before I left the country.
It happens to be my 37th birthday, nine years to the day from my first trip across the Neve to Sphinx Bay. I haven't touched skis since the winter of 2023, so if you can handle the basic terrain don't be intimidated about joining - let's go enjoy one of the most beautiful places to ski in all of Southern BC.
