Description:

My favourite thing about the Canadian Rockies, especially the Eastern Slopes, is the long network of alpine ridges and scree that you can just follow forever. Last year, I completed two very long ridge traverses with fellow VOCers Kyra Przybylski and Kevin McKay-Barona. As such, I feel like big heinous traverses in the Rockies can be a great VOC tradition.

If anyone is lurking around Calgary in May and looking for something to do, this is the trip for you. I have planned a very long route that, weather and conditions dependent, will take us from Highway 40 all the way to the Prairies. I call it: The Old Baldy to Bryant Ridge Connector. The route looks long and pretty non-technical, and I believe it could definitely go assuming we have a dry and hot May.
