Description:

The end of term is approaching far too fast for me to handle, and with it my date of departure from Canada. I would be really keen on getting a last big outdoors trip in on the North American continent trip before going home. I've currently got my eyes set on Zion National Park (I would have loved to go to Grand Canyon but was unfortunately too late for permit booking). The trip details require a lot of fleshing out and I'll be getting to that across the coming days, but tentatively we would fly to *shudders* Las Vegas, rent a car there, and drive to Zion park (on the 2nd of May, sleeping in the airport on the 1st). From there we would mostly follow the trails indicated here: https://backpackers-review.com/trip-reports/zion-traverse-backpacking/ although I would be keen on diverting towards the narrows once we get down to zion canyon and extending the trail by one day.

The date for getting the appropriate permits is March 5th so I'm hoping to get details figured out before then. I would likely book spots for 5 people at each campsite.

If anyone knows already that they would be super down for something around those lines, definitely email me as I would love to hear second opinions on how to plan this.

EDITED FOR POSTERITY: No Zion ahead, group has been determined and we'll instead hike around various canyons in Utah.

(Thanks for the tool VOC!)
