Approximate route

From km7.6 on the Ashlu Main FSR follow logging roads (A700/730, A735) and start bushwacking up to the Buck Mnt. - Zig Zag Peak col. Follow the icefield to Mt. Wood, past Charlie-Charlie, Pykett and Icecap. Follow the ridgeline connecting Icecap with Amicus, bypass Amicus on the south by heading to the col on the west of Amicus. Bypass Porterhouse and Ashlu Mountain and descend the Shortcut Creek valley until reaching the Ashlu Main FSR.
